COMMON REDPOLL - Acanthis flammea

2013:

One considered to have been a 'classic' flammea was seen around Lagoon II at Oldbury Power Station on November 13th.

 

2009:

At least one was present at Orchard Pools, Severn Beach on January 18th feeding on Great Willow Herb; At least four were seen around Lagoon III at Oldbury Power Station on March 21st; Several probably this species were seen at Severn Beach on April 13th.

 

2008:

A female/ 1st winter was seen at Severn Beach on April 20th.

 

2004:

One was reported at Thornbury Golf Course on February 10th. This is the first documented reference to this species in S. Gloucestershire. Two adults were identified and photographed on April 24th at Severn Beach.
