JANUARY: At least two were noted from both Aust and Northwick Warth from the 4th - 13th; At least two in the Oldbury Power Station environs from the 11th - 13th; One in the New Passage/ Pilning WR area on the 14th; One present on Littleton Warth on the 30th. FEBRUARY: Two with singles from Aust Warth and New Passage on the 7th; One from Aust Warth on the 20th. MARCH: One seen on Northwick Warth on the 31st. APRIL: A summer plumaged individual was present on Aust Warth, Aust on the 1st.

LATEST: One in the New Passage/ Northwick Warth area on March 12th. EARLIEST: One on Aust Warth on October 20th. HIGHEST COUNT: Two on January 30th at Severn Beach and on scrapes near Thornbury Sailing Club, Oldbury-on-Severn on February 9th.

 

JANUARY: One on the salt marsh at Severn Beach on the 28th with two there on the 30th. FEBRUARY: Two on scrapes near Thornbury Sailing Club, Oldbury-on-Severn on the 9th. MARCH: One on the scrapes near Thornbury Sailing Club on the 9th and 18th; One in the New Passage/ Northwick Warth area on the 12th. OCTOBER: One on Aust Warth on the 20th with the same or another in the Severn View Services/ Aust STW on the 21st; One from the saltmarsh at Oldbury Power Station on the 24th. NOVEMBER: One on the saltmarsh at Aust on the 4th; One on Pilning WR, New Passage on the 8th; One to the north-east over Severn View Services, Aust on the 16th; One from saltmarsh at Severn Beach on the 18th and 25th. DECEMBER: One near the stone wall on Northwick Warth from the Severn Way, New Passage on the 16th.

Seven bird days all on Severnside. LATEST: One feeding on the high tide strand line near the second sentry box on Northwick Warth on March 14th. EARLIEST: One from the Northwick Warth/ Pilning WR area on October 3rd. HIGHEST COUNT: Two on Pilning WR on December 24th.

 

2019

Twenty-three bird days from three sites. New Passage/ Northwick Warth/ Pilning WR (19), Oldbury Power Station (3) and Severn Beach (1). The best months January (9) and March (6). LATEST: One in the New Passage/ Northwick Warth area on April 10th. EARLIEST: One near Lagoon I, Oldbury Power Station on October 7th. HIGHEST COUNT: One on all dates.

 

2018

Fifty-seven bird days from four sites. New Passage/ Northwick Warth/ Pilning WR(47), Oldbury Power Station (5), Severn Beach/ Chittening Warth (4) and Aust Warth (1). The best month April (17). LATEST: One in the New Passage/ Northwick Warth/ Pilning Wetland Reserve area on April 19th. EARLIEST: Two in the Severn Beach area on October 20th. HIGHEST COUNT: Two in the New Passage/ Northwick Warth/ Pilning WR area on several dates in March, April and October.

 

2017

Forty-two bird days at three sites: New Passage/ Northwick Warth/ Pilning WR(38), Littleton Warth (3) and Oldbury Power Station (1). The best month December (8). LATEST: A summer adult was seen briefly at Oldbury Power Station on May 27th. EARLIEST: One on Northwick Warth on October 20th. HIGHEST COUNT: At least five, possibly eight, on Northwick Warth on April 1st.

 

2016

A hundred and forty-six bird days from three sites; Northwick Warth/ New Passage/ Pilning WR (139), Littleton Warth (4) and Oldbury Power Station (3). The best months January (44), February (29), March (38) and November (25). LATEST: One in the Northwick Warth/ Pilning WR area until April 12th. EARLIEST: One on Northwick Warth on November 2nd. HIGHEST COUNT: At least five on Northwick Warth around the second sentry box on January 9th, February 9th - 10th and March 22nd.

 

2015

Eighty-two bird days from three locations; Northwick Warth/ New Passage/ Pilning WR (79), Oldbury Power Station (2) and Aust Warth (1). The best months were November (31) and December (27). LATEST: One in summer dress in the Cake Pill area on Aust Warth on April 5th. EARLIEST: One on Northwick Warth on October 17th. HIGHEST COUNT: Five were in the New Passage/ Northwick Warth/ Pilning WR area on November 7th, 18th and December 27th.

 

2014

Sixteen bird days from four sites. Northwick Warth/ New Passage/ Pilning WR(13), with singles from Littleton Warth, Aust Warth and Oldbury Power Station. LATEST: One on Pilning WR on February 7th. EARLIEST: One on Littleton Warth on October 18th.

 

2013

Thirteen bird days from four sites. Oldbury Power Station (6) three each from Northwick Warth/ New Passage/ Pilning WR and Severn Beach, one from Littleton Warth. LATEST: One at New Passage on March 18th. EARLIEST/ HIGHEST COUNT: Two from the salt marsh at Oldbury Power Station on October 4th.

 

2012

Fifty-five bird days from three sites. Northwick Warth/ New Passage/ Pilning WR (52), Severn Beach (2) and Oldbury Power Station (1). The best months February and March (21). LATEST: Two at Oldbury Power Station on March 28th. EARLIEST: One on the salt marsh south of Severn Beach on November 8th. HIGHEST COUNT: Six in the New Passage/ Northwick Warth area on March 18th.

 

2011

Thirty bird days from four locations. Oldbury Power Station (15), Severn Beach (8), Littleton Warth (4) and Northwick Warth/ New Passage/ Pilning WR (3). The best month January (20). LATEST: One on Littleton Warth on March 2nd. EARLIEST: One at Littleton-upon-Severn October 1st. HIGHEST COUNT: Three north of Oldbury Power Station up-river of the Windbound on January 17th.

One on the salt marsh at Severn Beach on January 30th; One on the salt marsh at Severn Beach on February 6th with two present on February 20th; One on Whale Warth, Littleton-upon-Severn on March 6th; One on the salt marsh at Severn Beach on March 7th - 25th; One at Severn Beach on October 30th; One at Oldbury Power Station on December 7th.

SEVERN BEACH: Two on the salt marsh on January 1st, one from January 10th - 31st, two on the salt marsh on February 1st, one on the shore on March 3rd - 20th, one on the shore on April 9th.
