JANUARY: Two on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on January 8th; One was seen in flight over the M48 just east of Severn View Services, Aust on the 21st. MARCH: One was found in Kingsgate Park, Yate on the 24th where it lingered briefly; One was reported from the Oldbury Power Station environs on the 26th. APRIL: One was seen in flight past Severn View Services, Aust on the 8th; Two in flight over Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 11th; One in the Aust STW area on the 14th; One in flight in the New Passage area on the 18th; Two flew over north-east over Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 21st; Two were watched in flight to the north-east over Lagoon II, Oldbury Power Station on the 22nd; One on Pilning Wetlands on the 28th. MAY: One from Severn Beach on the 5th; One up-river past Oldbury Power Station on the 7th; One was seen from Severn View Services, Aust on the 14th; Two were noted flying north-east over Northwick Warth early morning on the 19th; One was seen in flight to the north over the M49 near Hallen on the 21st; One was watched on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 24th. JUNE: One was present on Pilning Wetlands on the 12th - 13th; Two were noted on Pilning Wetlands on the 18th - 19th; One lifted off of the R. Frome near Cog Mill, Frampton Cotterell in the morning on the 21st; One to the south-east over Pilning Wetlands in the morning and another to the north-west over Oldbury Power Station early afternoon on the 24th; Two to the south-east over Pilning Wetlands early morning on the 25th.JULY: One was seen in flight at Oldbury Power Station on the 2nd and may have dropped on to The Lake; Two were present on Pilning Wetlands in the morning on the 9th; One was lingering on Pilning Wetlands on the 10th; One was seen in flight over Severn View Services, Aust in the morning on the 15th; One was discovered above the sluice in the Oldbury Pill area early morning on the 16th and was still present on the 18th.

AUGUST: A juvenile was noted on the shore near Lagoon III, Oldbury Power Station in the morning on the 1st; One was reported from the Oldbury on Severn area on the 2nd; One noted in the Severn Beach area on the 5th; One was seen in flight to the south-west over Severn View Services/ Aust STW on the 6th; One was noted in the Pilning Wetlands area on the 27th; One was noted in the Severn View Services area, Aust on the 31st.

2023

JANUARY (1): One on Aust Warth on January 23rd. FEBRUARY (1): One in flight from Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on February 16th. MARCH (1): One reported from Tortworth Court Lake on the 5th. APRIL (5): One in flight down river past Oldbury Power Station at 07:30 on the 3rd; One in flight to the north-east just inland of Lagoon II at Oldbury Power Station on the 11th; One reported in flight over Cock Road Ridge, Kingswood at 09:15 on the 14th; One on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage briefly on the 15th before departing down river; One in flight upriver past Severn Beach and subsequently past Oldbury Power Station around 08:30 on the 21st. MAY (4): One in flight to the east from Severn Beach on the 13th; One in flight over the R. Frome at Nightingale Bridge towards Frampton Cotterell on the 13th; One present on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 20th before relocating to Severn Beach; One in flight from UWE Frenchay heading towards Hambrook mid-morning on the 24th. JUNE (7): One flew over the Prince of Wales Bridge, New Passage at 06:30 and two in flight up river past Oldbury Power Station on the 5th; One present on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 13th; One c.1km south of Severn Beach by 'The Pipes' early morning on the 14th; One present on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage in the evening on the 22nd; One present on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 29th. JULY (2): One present once again on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 3rd, 16th, 19th and 21st - 22nd; One in flight over the old 'Kleeneze' site at Hanham early morning on the 22nd. AUGUST (4): One present on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage from the 14th - 27th; One in flight over Magpie Bottom, Hanham early afternoon on the 21st; One photographed on the roof of a private house on Parkfield Road, Pucklechurch on the 25th and another photographed on a shed roof of a private garden at Barr's Court (BS30 7BS) around 19:00 also on the 25th. SEPTEMBER (5): One still frequenting Pilning Wetlands, New Passage and present on the 5th; Three below Severn Beach on the 8th; One on rocks off Lagoon III, Oldbury Power Station at mid-day on the 26th with the same or another on site on the 29th. OCTOBER (6): One in flight inland past Thornbury Sailing Club, Oldbury-on-Severn on the 16th before heading east; Three on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 17th - 18th; One on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 24th and 29th.NOVEMBER (5): One in flight over fields near Oldbury village on the 14th; One over Lagoon III at Oldbury Power Station then north-east across the estuary on the 16th; One to the north past Oldbury Power Station on the 26th; Two in the Pilning Wetlands/ New Passage area on the 30th. DECEMBER (1): One reported in the Oldbury village area on the 1st.

2022

JANUARY (1): One in the Rhine from Central Avenue, Severn Beach on the 10th. FEBRUARY (1): One in flight over Pilning Marsh Common, Station Road, Pilning late afternoon on the 14th. MARCH (5): The first ever patch record for Marshfield in the Shire Valley on the 13th; One reported from Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 18th; One in flight up river past Oldbury Power Station at 08:20 on the 19th; One east over Severn Beach on the 26th; One present on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 28th. APRIL (13): Two around 07:40 in flight south-west past Severn Beach on the 2nd; One in flight from Bristol and Bath Science Park, Lyde Green in the morning on the 13th; One reported from Severn Beach on the 19th; One on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 21st; One from Severn Beach on the 23rd; One north-east past Severn Beach with an additional two on Pilning Wetlands on the 25th; One in flight north-east past Severn Beach on the 28th; Two in flight north-east past Severn Beach on the 29th then on Pilning Wetlands. New Passage; One south-west past Severn Beach on the 30th. MAY (5): One once again present on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 3rd- 4th; The probability of two seen distantly flying north-east inland from Oldbury Power Station on the 20th was high!; Two on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage in the evening on the 29th. JUNE (3): One 'dropped-in' to Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 3rd where it or another was seen again on the 7th - 9th; One in the New Passage/ Pilning Wetlands area most evenings between the  18th - 24th; One on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 30th. JULY (2): One once again noted on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 8th and in flight over the wetlands on the 10th; One at high tide from Severn Beach on the 18th and again on the 27th - 28th. AUGUST (3): One in flight down river past New Passage on the 3rd; One on Orchard Pools, Severn Beach on the 4th and 7th; One noted again on Orchard Pools, Severn Beach before relocating to the Severn Beach shoreline with the same or another in flight at Oldbury Power Station late morning on the 23rd. SEPTEMBER (8): One reported from Pillhead Gout, Oldbury-on-Severn on the 2nd; One from Severn Beach on the 11th; One over Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 17th; One from Severn Beach on the 22nd; One over Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 25th; Two present from Severn Beach and one flew north past Oldbury Power Station on the 26th. OCTOBER (10): Three on the foreshore at Severn Beach on the 8th; One at Orchard Pools, Severn Beach on the 23rd; Six in flight past Thornbury Sailing Club, Oldbury on Severn (and subsequently past Aust View Point) at 08:35 on the 27th. NOVEMBER (2): One in flight upriver past Oldbury Power Station on the 3rd; One to the south-west of Oldbury Power Station on the 19th.

2021

APRIL (7): Two in flight north-east up river past Severn View Services, Aust at 08:20 on the 1st; One in flight over Frampton Cotterell/ Iron Acton on the 5th; One in flight north-east past New Passage on the 21st with the same or another at Redwick/ Severn Beach before flying west on the 23rd; One, putatively this species, in flight from Littleton to Aust on the 27th; One in flight with seven Little Egret north over the M4 from Lyde Green Pool on the 28th; One in flight up-river past Oldbury Power Station around 09:20 on the 29th. MAY (3): An unconfirmed report of one near The Anchor at Oldbury Pill at 07:45 on the 5th; One in flight down river from Oldbury Power Station on the 18th; One in flight up river past Oldbury Power Station on the 27th. JUNE (3): One in flight around 07:40 south over the A4174 Willy Wicket roundabout at Bromley Heath on the 28th; Two on the 30th - one in flight on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage and one in flight over Frampton Cotterell heading towards Coalpit Heath. AUGUST (1): One on Tesco Pools, Western Distribution Park, Severn Beach on the 28th. SEPTEMBER (1): One on Lyde Green Lake, Emerson's Green on the 10th. OCTOBER (5): Four in flight south over Littleton Warth on the 10th; One on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on the 11th. NOVEMBER (2): One over The Lake, Oldbury Power Station on the 4th; One lifted off from Pilning Wetlands, New Passage and flew towards Severn Beach on the 13th.

2020

Four in flight south past Severn Beach on June 16th; Two in flight upriver past Oldbury Power Station and a third lingered on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on June 25th; One from the New Passage/ Pilning Wetlands area on August 12th; One in flight from Littleton Warth towards The Lake at Oldbury Power Station on September 1st; One briefly on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on September 5th; One on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on September 17th; One in flight over the M5 near Tytherington on October 4th; One north-east over Severn View Services, Aust on October 14th; One in flight north-east from New Passage and two were in flight north-east past Severn View Services, Aust on November 7th.

One just down river from Thornbury Sailing Club, Oldbury-on-Severn on February 14th; One in flight north-east over New Passage/ Northwick Warth on March 23rd; One in flight at Over around the Solar Farm on May 26th; Three in the Northwick Warth/ Pilning Wetlands area on July 17th; A summer adult on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on July 25th; An immature in the Pilning Wetlands, New Passage area from August 14th - 23rd, 27th - 31st and September 1st - 10th; An immature in flight past Severn Beach on September 20th; Six in flight heading up river past New Passage on September 21st; One from Aust Warth on October 18th; One heading inland between New Passage and Severn Beach on October 29th; One heading south from the New Passage/ Northwick Warth area on October 30th.

2018

Two on Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on April 23rd; One in flight over Lagoon III, Oldbury Power Station and Littleton-upon-Severn on April 28th was subsequently noted in flight north over Aust Warth; One in flight over Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on July 18th; One flew over Lagoon III, Oldbury Power Station on October 19th; One in flight up river from Littleton on October 31st.

2017

Two low over St Mary's Church car park, Littleton-upon-Severn on January the 2nd; One from the R. Frome behind Centenary field, Frampton Cotterell on January 5th; One in flight just inland of Shepperdine/ Lagoon II at Oldbury Power Station on April 11th; One in flight heading south over Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on April 21st; One in flight heading south-west over Nibley towards Coalpit Heath on September 17th.

2016

One flying south-west from Lagoon II, Oldbury Power Station on January 16th; One in flight north-east over the M5 just north of J17 heading towards Patchway on April 21st; One, very probably this species, in flight south of Lagoon II, Oldbury Power Station on July 30th; One on the shore at Oldbury Power Station on August 17th; One in flight heading east over Staple Hill, Bristol on August 22nd; One in the mouth of Chestle Pill, New Passage on September 11th; One paid a flying visit to Pilning Wetlands, New Passage and Northwick Warth 'Flash' on October 8th.

2015

One in flight over Ableton Land and Orchard Pools, Severn Beach on May 8th; Two briefly in the New Passage/ Northwick Warth area on October 4th; One towards Lagoon III, Oldbury Power Station on October 27th; One flying low south-east and inland from Aust Warth on December 28th.

One in flight over Yate on September 26th heading south west towards Westerleigh; One over Pilning Wetlands, New Passage on September 28th.

A presumed adult in flight over the M5 one kilometre south of J15 in the Almondsbury/ Patchway area on November 30th.
