2020
One, almost certainly this species, was heard twice in flight over the 1st Sentry Box on Northwick Warth late afternoon on October 22nd.
2016
One, very probably this species, was heard
in flight over Northwick Warth in the
morning on October 22nd.
2013
One on Northwick Warth then in flight
towards New Passage at 09:55 on September
28th. Later seen and heard several times on
Pilning Wetland at 11:10; One was reported
from Aust Cliffs on October 14th.
2010
OCTOBER: One on the gravel track at Cake
Pill, Aust Warth plus four at Oldbury Power
Station, two on the salt marsh between the
Power Station and Thornbury Yacht Club at
ST: 601 933 and two fly-over's on the 13th;
One over New Passage early morning on the
14th; One possibly this species heard
distantly at Oldbury Power Station on the
16th; One at Aust Warth at 07:50 on the
20th. DECEMBER: One flying south-west over
Northwick Warth towards New Passage at 12:30
on the 3rd.
2008
A female around 10:00 on March 24th in
ploughed fields at the junction of West
Littleton Road and Northfield Lane,
Marshfield (ST: 776 742) it was present for
four days and was last seen on March 27th.
This is the first inland record of this
species for S. Gloucestershire.
2007
A moulting adult male at Northwick Warth on
the salt marsh in the evening on October
3rd.
2003
On November 19th one firstly on Northwick
Warth then at Aust Warth before flying off
over Aust Cliff.
1996
A 1st winter trapped, ringed and released on
January 29th at Oldbury-on-Severn. It was
re-trapped on February 2nd; One in flight on
March 17th over Northwick Warth.
1989
One on September 2nd at Aust Warth.
1988
One on October 16th at Severn Beach.
1986
A 1st winter female on February 9th at New
Passage.
1984
One on October 27th at Severn Beach.
1981
A 1st winter bird was reported from Severn
Beach on December 18th.
