2023

Two were seen in flight upriver past Oldbury Power Station at 08:35 on February 2nd; Two were counted on Pilning WR, New Passage on March 27th; One was noted in a private garden at Dyrham on May 10th; Four were seen in flight upriver past Oldbury Power Station around 08:15 on November 9th; Nine (9) were counted on Marsh Common near Easter Compton around ST: 562 829 on the 17th.

One seen in flight along the R. Avon around Avon Valley CP on January 16th; One was noted in a private garden at Dyrham on November 21st.

2021

One was reported at Oldbury Power Station on January 1st; One in flight 1km east of the Lock Keeper PH, Willsbridge on January 17th with two in the same area on January 26th; One in flight north-east past Severn Beach on May 14th; Two on the weir on the R. Avon, Willsbridge/ Keynsham on August 27th viewed from the Lock Keeper PH CP.

2020

JANUARY: One flew in from the east at 12:30 at Oldbury Power Station, over the lake and departed to the south on the 5th. APRIL: Three were present on Pilning WR, Northwick Warth on the 9th. DECEMBER: One was seen with Canada Geese on the S. Glos side of the R. Avon opposite Avon Valley CP and 1km east of the Lock Keeper PH on the 26th.

2019

FEBRUARY: One on Windmill Lakes near Coalpit Heath on the 10th; One seen around Thornbury Sailing Club, Oldbury-on-Severn on the 27th. MARCH: An adult reported from Golden Valley LNR, Wick on the 7th. MAY: One in fields on the north side of the R. Avon opposite Avon Valley CP between Willsbridge and the Cycle Path on the 5th. DECEMBER: Two were noted on Butts Pool, Pilning WR on the 8th.

2018

JANUARY: An adult was present in the New Passage/ Northwick Warth on the 2nd; An adult at Shepperdine upriver from the point just south of The Windbound on the 11th; One was seen on Kendleshire Golf Course, Coalpit Heath on the 23rd.

2017

JANUARY: An adult was frequenting lakes at Aztec West Business Park, Almondsbury at BS32 4RZ around Park Avenue from the 1st until at least the 18th; It relocated to Northwick Warth and Pilning WR on the 20th - 21st. MARCH: One reported again from Aztec West Business Park, Almondsbury on the 12th. MAY: One reported again from Aztec West Business Park, Almondsbury on the 25th & 27th... JULY: ... reported again from Aztec West on the 2nd, 6th & 19th; An adult in the New Passage/ Northwick Warth area from the 21st - 31st. AUGUST: An adult in the New Passage/ Northwick Warth from the 1st until at least the 4th; Back at Aztec West Business Park, Almondsbury on the 5th & 16th; An adult in the Northwick Warth/ Pilning WR area from the 28th - 31st. SEPTEMBER: Back at Aztec West Business Park, Almondsbury on the 2nd; Northwick Warth on the 3rd & 16th- 17th. NOVEMBER: An adult one again at Aztec West Business Park, Almondsbury on the 10th. DECEMBER: The peripatetic adult noted with Canada Geese on Northwick Warth on the 16th & 19th.

2016

JANUARY: Two were seen on the 10th in flooded fields along the R. Avon footpath at Holm Mead a kilometre east of The Lock Keeper at Keynsham around ST: 672 689. FEBRUARY: Both birds were again present in flooded fields along the R. Avon footpath at Holm Mead a kilometre east of The Lock Keeper at Keynsham on the 9th and 27th. APRIL: One was seen briefly on the 2nd on Pilning Wetland before departing south; One was seen in the Powder Keg area at Bridgeyate on the 17th and at Warmley Forest Park earlier that week. MAY: One was present on Pilning Wetland, Northwick Warth on the 8th and 13th - 14th. It was relocated on the 22nd on Western Distribution Park, Severn Beach where it was also seen on the 24th. JUNE: One was again present on Pilning Wetland, Northwick Warth on the 11th at 06:30 before departing inland. AUGUST: An adult re-appeared on the 8th and was present in the New Passage/ Pilning WR/ Northwick Warth area until the 31st... SEPTEMBER: ...and continued to show until at least the 6th and 10th before relocating to Littleton Warth on the 7th; One was noted with a Canada Goose flock at Aztec West in the morning on the 14th - 15th; An adult re-appeared in the New Passage/ Pilning WR/ Northwick Warth area on the 22nd. OCTOBER: The feral adult re-appeared in the New Passage/ Pilning WR/ Northwick Warth area on the 14th. NOVEMBER: One, of unknown origin, was present at Aztec West Business Park on the 2nd. DECEMBER: One, of unknown origin, was present at Aztec West Business Park on the 3rd - 7th but relocated to Pilning Wetland on the 8th.

2015

Two were reported from Field Grove Farm, Bitton on December 31st.

2013

A winter adult spent the day at Pilning WR, Northwick Warth on March 1st and represents the first Severnside patch record; One was reported from Severn Beach on December 14th.

2006

One from Oldbury Power Station in flight upstream landing on the north shore of the R. Severn at 13:00 having been seen on the south shore near Thornbury Yacht Club earlier in the day on March 4th; An adult was photographed at Heneage Court Pools near Falfield on April 23rd.

2002

A presumed winter adult was seen on February 12th at Oldbury Power Station.
