2019
A 1st summer female was found early morning on April 24th feeding initially in the recently ploughed area of Pilning Wetland Reserve, Northwick Warth next to the Grebe Pond. It subsequently flew calling into the area between the Wader Pool and Grebe Pond. Illusive at first in increasingly worsening weather conditions it was seen fleetingly on and off until mid-afternoon. Weather clearing it finally gave itself up late afternoon and evening and was seen well on occasions until dusk. The 1st summer female was re-found early afternoon on the 25th and remained faithful to the ploughed area on Pilning Wetland Reserve until dusk. Also present throughout the day on the 26th, 27th and 28th.

Remarkably a second Citrine Wagtail was found on 1st Sentry Box Pool, Pilning Wetland Reserve late afternoon on April 25th, this time a very striking male! It too remained until dusk.
