SWALLOWTAIL  Papilio machaon




The first reference to Swallowtail in S. Gloucestershire was documented in The Proceedings of the Bristol Naturalists Society 1877 p.152. Present on Aust Marshes, Aust prior to this date. Also reported from the neighbourhood of Bristol in Samouelle's Entomologists Useful Compendium, p.235.
